Every spyware prevention program for Mac is equal to any other. They are also all equal to an empty text file, because there isn't any spyware for them to prevent.

There are no reputable anti-spyware programs for Mac OS X. This is not entirely their fault, however, as there has only ever been one known spyware for OSX -a port of LimeShop- and even this is no longer used or distributed by the people who wrote it. With no known spyware, it's kind of hard to build up a reputation.

Little Snitch.
Catches apps that try to "phone home." (If you see daemons attempting to connect it's usually no big deal...you can see what they are for yourself)

And even LimeShop wasn't *really* spyware, in the worst (i.e. Windows) sense. It just watched your surfing, and every time you clicked a "Buy related products at Amazon" link, it would change the cookie so that any profit generated by the link would be redirected to the LimeShop developers.
Immoral, nasty, and completely unacceptable, and definitely reason enough to never, EVER install any of their software whatsoever ever again, but not particularly harmful to the end user.
