Hi there,

I'm after a To-Do-List type desktop app (or dashboard widget even) that will sync across multiple machines. It doesn't need to be very fancy - the less of a footprint it has the better.

I'm prepared to pay anywhere up to $AU20-30 and .mac is not an option!

Thanx!

It'd take a little to long for me to describe it right here .... but you can use G-Mail and then the to-dos built in to Apple Mail. When you create or edit a to-do in Mail, it will swoop it up to the gmail servers. Any other mac you have with access to that same email should be able to pull them down.

Correct. Leopard' Mail and any IMAP mail account will do this.

You should consider just keeping the list online and using a dashboard widget to interact with it. I do this with Backpack and it works awesome. YOu can sign up for a free account and use it forever.

The app is at Backpackit.com

There is a widget that works really nice with the app and is free. Chipt Productions, LLC
Macminicolo.net - Your mini. Our data center. The perfect low-cost server.

I use this: Tasks : Crowd Favorite

Web-based but requires PHP+mysql server access.

I like it because it has a mobile phone interface as well.

I use iCal along with Darwin Calendar Server (the open source version of iCal Server that is included in OS X Server).
