I am looking to create some sort of sharing protecting for video where the video can only be played on one computer after download as many times as the user wants. I would need it to work on windows and mac platforms.
Complete security is not a huge issue. It is mostly to prevent the "general" population from sharing the videos after purchasing them.
I am doing this for videos of lectures.
I was thinking something along the line of a one time installer creating some hidden file needed for the video to start. Therefor when they try to send the video to someone else the file will not be present and they could not run it.
If anyone knows of any ideas or products that are out there or how to implement/code the idea I currently have, I would appreciate it.
