Google has made two changes to its Google Maps mobile apps. The app now provides navigational instructions in an additional 19 countries, bringing the total number of countries with the function enabled to 96, while users finding issues with local maps are able to notify Google of new places of interest from within the app, with corrections added to the public version of the maps at a later time.

The new list of countries gaining Google Maps navigation cover four broad areas, reports Android Police. In the Americas, the Bahamas, Bolivia, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago have been added, while the new Asia-Pacific countries with the service include Fiji, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. In Africa, navigation is available in Angola, Botswana, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, and Tanzania, while Malta is the single Mediterranean addition.

The Next Web writes that users can tap anywhere on a map to bring up full details of an address. A new link at the bottom for "Add a missing place" gives the option to send the place name, phone number, website, and the type of location back to Google. The company states it may send notifications back to the user, with the data potentially published under a relevant Google Account on Google Map Maker.
