Eject key won't eject cd...

Hello,
My friend just got her iBook today. But her eject key doesn't work. We put the cd into the drive, than when we want to eject the cd, we hold the eject key, but nothing happens. We know that the key is connected to the computer because after we hold it for a few seconds, it starts making ding noises. But that eject icon doesn't apear on screen when we hit the eject button. Anyone know the solution to fix this?

Nevermind, I reset the firmware, and now it works.

I read somewhere that all you need to do is reset the firmware, it should work after that.

my eject key didn't work either, but after upgrading to 10.3.1 is suddenly worked.
