Wife has a black Macbook Core Duo (first gen) that has worked like a champ for 1.5 years. Today she could not wake from sleep, so she rebooted the computer. At this point, when we power on the machine, we see the Apple logo and the spinning ring....but then the machine totally shuts off. I have tried resetting the ram and hard drive but nothing is working. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
