Hi there,
The screen of my 17" MacBook Pro has begun to flicker when playing certain games. It only happens when the MBP temperature gets to around 68C to 74C. Although when playing games I put my MBP on a double fanned cooling pad.
This 'nervous' flickering occurs at intervals but not all the time - on the other hand it does happen at regular intervals when playing the Nuclear Nova GL Golf game ..!
The screen does not flicker at any other time.
I have read elsewhere in this forum that the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphic card can become unreliable in certain 2.4Ghz MPB's - could this be the cause of this particular problem and should I be thinking about replacing the graphic card? I bought my MBP in July 2007 and it has the usual three year Apple warranty.
Advice from these forums as always, is greatly appreciated!
