i've read about books, mainly on amazon.com or sparknotes.com, and I guess I've seen a few books before, but I've never read one. has anyone here ever read a book? a real one, made out of paper?

Of course... Some of my favorite books were the Harry Potter Books... Many have said that they have inspired some to read more... Try those books, they are pretty easy to read.

More than most people I know. I average 1 every 2 to 3 days, all year long.
They are available for free at any public library, you must return them though.

It saddens me that questions like this appear on forums. Everybody should have been forced to read at least one book a year in school, at least in High School. And another thing that kinda saddens me is the fact that nowadays you say book, you think Amazon. What happened to the good ol' book store or the library? When I was a kid I used to spend hours and days in Barnes & Nobles stores or libraries, reading and browsing through books, looking for the one that was actually worth spending my allowance on.
So to answer your question, yes I have. Infact, I do it all the time. It doesn't hurt, you should try it.

Do a search for John Smith. He's got about 15 accounts, with various middle initials, and you will note that all of the threads he posts are equally lame, in a trolling sort of fashion. Why can't moderators here ban people just for being lame and universally reviled?
