Season one is on Netflix. Pretty cool show if you have nostalgia and/or are old enough to remember the early days of PCs, networked gaming and first glimpses of the Internet. For me it brings back fond memories of playing Zork on an Apple II.

Anybody watching?

This is actually the first I've heard of it.

You're finished with the first season?

I've been watching it from the start. I really like it. It's refreshing to see a show focus on the early technology that we all take for granted nowadays. Pretty good storylines and character development too.

Yes, I think it's very well done. I'm now caught up, two episodes so far in season 2, and I'm finding myself looking very forward to each episode. It's been awhile since I've felt that way about a tv show.

Not being a computer engineer of software developer, I don't know how accurate all the jargon is, but I thought I heard the characters make a reference to seeing "Windows" and it being very buggy while they were at COMDEX 1983. It seems that might have been a little early for Microsoft to be showing, since the Mac was first shown that year.

Late `83 was about the time MS was previewing Windows 1.0, but it was a pretty early alpha and incredibly unstable, even on the IBM PC 5150 that was used to develop it (and wouldn't even run on the "monster" PC XT). We geeks would have never used it though, in fact Win 3.1 was the first version I ever put on my PC (and WFW 3.11 was the best Windows until Windows 95 OSR2 came out).
