Since Sci-Fi was kind enough to air the first six episodes Wednesday night (I started watching at ep. 7), I am enjoying this show much more now that it makes sense to me. I'm still leery though, NBC can not be trusted to deliver. I still remember the screwing I took on Surface. What a POS that show turned out to be.

I will say that it's hard not to like the Hiro character;

The Hiro character is easily the most likeable character. I also like the LA cop, he's very sympathetic. The junkie artist and the cheerleader are annoying. Still, I like this serie. It is exciting and rather entertaining!

I have to say in regards to the cheerleader, it's a good thing she's indestructible. She seems rather accident prone. Before the quarterback helped her knock a branch through her brain bucket, he tackled her and twisted her head around backwards. Not to mention all the cuts and burns she seems to acquire. If she didn't have Wolverine like regeneration abilities, I have no doubt her parents would make her walk around wearing a hockey helmet or something.

Any theories on why Peter blows up? I really hope he isn't killed off. After Hiro, he's easily my second favorite character.

Maybe Peter took on the powers of the radioactive man (whatever happened to him anyway?) and couldn't control it.

That sounds as plausible as anything I can think of. Didn't that guy die after he killed his wife?

Nope. He escaped from the police by nuking the car he was riding from the inside.

I don't remember him fleeing. I was under the impression he committed suicide.

My prediction, judging from Peter's apparent premonition last night: When it comes time for him to blow up, his brother will swoop him up, fly him out over the ocean and BOOM. The end.

I really hope that doesn't happen. Peter is awesome, and aside from the grossness factor of it, he has great chemistry with Claire.

I don't think Peter will die. Remember when Future Hiro comes back to tell Peter to save the cheerleader, He says "I didn't recognize you without the scar", implying that Peter is in the future. As Hiro found out with the waitress, you really can't change the future, so obviously they will stop the bomb.

Now Hiro fighting a dinosaur will be an interesting episode.

All in all, I wasn't that impressed with last nights episode. I think the teaser saying one of the heroes will die, then having it be the chick working for creepy glasses guy was kind of a copout. This episode did get me curious about the Haitian and what his role in the grand scheme is.

Wrong, you can change the future, you can't change the past.

You are right about one thing, killing off mind-control girl was such a cop-out.

I didn't think killing Eden was a copout. Did anybody seriously think it wouldn't be a side-character? I was expecting it to be Annoying Niki's Annoying Husband. Of all the characters it could have been, I think Eden was the best choice (as far as it pissing me off that he killed her, which I assume was the point).

Then, why is future Hiro traveling to the past to tell Peter to "save the cheerleader"? I think the thing about the waitress was that she had an inoperable tumor and there was nothing Hiro could do to save her from that.

The series is all about fate, and whether you can change it is one of the big questions.

Or their annoying kid. An annoying family. I wouldn't mind them all gone, but I fear I'll have to see them for the rest of the season.

Niki has by far the stupidest 'power'. Hey look, I've got a split personality!! Whoohoo I'm a superhero!!

Well, I'm hooked on the series. Heroes is good stuff. It can have logical loopholes as it likes and innuendos, because that's half the fun of superhero stories!

Prison Break, for instance doesn't have any superheroes or metaphysical stuff, so the logical leaps there are faaar more annoying.

Not as annoying as Niki though.

I liked Niki's story line at the start of the series but now I'm completely bored with it. Also, Matt is only interesting when he's doing FBI stuff: I couldn't possibly care less about his wife and personal life.

I like the persistent ambiguity of the creepy-glasses-dad guy. He seems basically well intentioned, but causes nearly as many problems as he prevents.

Peters dreams are strange. We don`t yet know if they do show the future, or what they really mean. The many mysteries will hopefully be answered by the end of the season.

Is it me, or was it totally cool when Peter started using his powers last ep?

Yeah. He's totally going to turn into Sylar. And Sylar will be won over by Mohinder's sweet naivete and become a shy nurse.

I don't know, but it should be here:

Wow, two awesome episodes in a row.

This episode was one good scene after another. I think Heroes is pretty much the best hour on television this season.

Cool, I caught it on iTunes. One thing I didn't understand, though --

Also, just to clarify about the ending --

To step outside of the speculation for a second, I just thought I'd say that Heroes is nothing short of spectacular. I have yet to watch an episode and think "meh." Something important always happens, something that takes the story line further always, happens, etc.

As much as I hate to admit it, Heroes is becoming much better than LOST (obvious) and -- dare I say -- Battlestar.

We already know Syler and Sureish are driving around, trying to locate Superhumans that respond. IIRC, the car-lady was the only one to respond, so it's not like they have a 100 people to visit. Thus, it's somewhat on the back burner insofar as progressing the main story.
