hi all:
am about to clean install Panther on a friend’s troublesome (OSX.1) iMac. one of the major probs has been she could only get her Epsom stylus photo 810 printer to work in OS9
now the Epsom site
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...¬eoid=17764
says there are no 810 printer drivers available in OSX yet, but ...
using Pacifist i checked out both the Jaguar and Panther install CDs and they each have an “SP810series.plugin” - a smooth, round, white little icon thing.
please tell me this is the driver we need and if so why doesn't Epsom have it yet?
i don't want to be driving right across the state just to look stoopid
cheers, posthumanus

I did a clean install on Panther. For my Epson 1270 Panther installed a CUPS driver. It worked, but was much more complicated. I prefer the one from Epson so I reinstalled it.
