I'm new to using xcode 2.3 and having a problem in my cocoa document project.

I'm trying to control drag from a menuitem on my main menu (mainmenu.nib) to an action that is in the MyDocument.nib but it doesn't seem to let me do that. What am I not understanding?

I have actions in a controller for the mydocument nib and I want items on my main menu to execute those actions.

Any help much appreciated.

You can't.

You can only make connections between objects in the same nib.

You should be setting the target to the first responder proxy, instead.
