Nice. Remember all that stuff in school about "brainwashing" over in the USSR? I guess it can work here too.

When an ideology is so freaking bankrupt that it has to rely on stunts like this, plus all of popular culture, public school, higher ed, corporate media, unions, etc. to push the agenda -- man, that's sad.

The average age of a gamer in the US is something like 29.

Obama has had a ton of banner ads on gaming websites as well.

Advertising? For a political candidate? WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO?

In all seriousness, I think ads in video games are annoying, but I don't think political ads in video games are much more heinous than either video game ads alone or political ads alone.

I hope someone in the mainstream media finally confronts B. Hussein O. about his association with violent street racing.

Someone's just jealous that his preferred party didn't think of it first.

Advertising in video games is not "brainwashing."

It's not like the games are subconsciously flashing "Vote for Obama" for 1/100th of a second every fourth frame. These are conspicuous advertisements depicted quite literally as advertisements. Why you would construct such an attenuated analogy is ridiculous-- and in my short tenure here seems representative of the quality of arguments from conservatives on this forum.

"Dude, Obama is brainwashing kids now!"

"Well, how?"

"Well, it's not really brainwashing at all in fact. Words don't really mean anything to me besides a tool for sticking liberals with."

"Figured as much."

Right. If the NRA/McCain/Religious Right was doing it, it would be brainwashing, but since it's Obama it's OK. Yah. In China they refer to it as "thought reform."

Just like "spreading it around" isn't the same as "socialism." HaHa.

So do TV ads not count as brainwashing? What point are you driving at here?

Did you notice that I pointed out that vast majority of video gamers are over 18? Because they are.

Why the hell would Obama want to advertise to people too young to vote for him anyway? So they can vote for him as supreme leader of the entire world when he runs for that position in 8 years?

Explain to me how it's "brainwashing" or, alternatively, how my explanation of how it's not brainwashing is faulty.

You guys do make claims based on actual reasons here, don't you?

Don't even try to argue with his twisted mind. His stereotypes and preconceived notions of the world are amusing, but harmless.

Oh c'mon. They're two completely different things. One is viewed on a television screen and frequently has a message about a candidate, and the other... oh... wait....

They'll have big statues of Obama soon too. He likes to do that chin up pose a lot just like Lenin, Stalin and Saddam.

How bad is it?

It's got to be terrible when a campaign relies on people like this.
