Hi chaps.
Does anyone know why in iTunes on my iPad, if i select 'Songs' from the bottom, they are ordered by Album name not song name?
Seems odd, my iphone orders correctly.

Are you referring to the "Music" app? It's not called "iTunes" anymore; now it's separate from the ITunes Store app.
In Music, when I select Songs (iPad 2, iOS 7), my songs are in song-title order. I don't see an obvious means to change the sort order, but I'm sure someone will pop in shortly with a way to do it - or an assurance that you can't.

There is a setting for this in the Settings app. Not entirely logical, maybe.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Under "Music" in iOS Settings, there's an option titled "Group by album artist," which is on by default.
