Took a look at a screenshot for Amiga OS 4 http://os.amiga.com/images/os4/os4_on_a1.jpg and I think it looks quite pretty, personally. Reminds me of QNX a bit. Would this be difficult/impossible/easy to replicate under Panther? Actually we can't have window borders can we? grrrrr.....

Holy crap, it's horrible!

But to answer your question; No, it wouldn't be possible (without a lot of comprimising (sp?)). Like you said, we can't have window borders.

Funny, i asked the same thing and got slammed. I think the Amiga UI isn't bad, I especially liked the customizability of the MUI (textures, in particular). I was asked to try the NeXt theme.

Well it's not good... It would be doable but it's got window borders that OS X doesn't do.

I used to own an Amiga back in the days, but I wouldnt use that theme if it was thrown at me..

Honestly I find it quite clean and refreshing, pretty blue, nice subtle gradients, no gaudy widgets etc

I like it too! Great Fluency and Class, very little OS X themes do this if Max isn't around. Hohohooo and Shakalaka Boom!

I think this theme looks nice and clean. Why does everyone have to say it sux or people who want themes like this are idiots, etc. I have a lot of the curvy candy-coated themes and always go back to Kowloon, Rhapsodized, or Plastic. If QNX didn't have messed up progress bars (e.g. they are all sage regardless of theme color) I would use it all the time.

I for one would love an Amiga 4.0 theme (had an A3000, A500, and A1000 BTW).

It actually looks better than most OS X themes I see in here.

I just think many people here is used to see round window titlebarbuttons. I don't think I have seen more than maybe 4 OS X themes which had square or semisquare titilebarbuttons. I too love the look of this theme. But I doubt that it would be possible because of the tightness of the buttons. I has to look like that if it were to come to OS X , otherwise it would't look right and not feel right. However, I would rather like to see the OS4 mockup that Girish Nath did. Or some of the other mockups made by themers a long time ago.

Maybe so, but Kowloon 1.0 (not 1.1) is nearly perfect and has square windows. Smoothstripes also has square windows, just a tad too bright for me though.

I meant the buttons you click on to close, minimize and maximize/restore. I have not seen Smoothstripes with square buttons.

If someone makes it, a little creative license wouldn't go amiss.

Looks cool. Kind of like the old Amiga "ClassAct" GUI.

that's what I thought, you just said that it had square windows. not square window buttons. It would be cool to see a round window though

You could always just install Amiga OS 4.

I can eh? How? I had Mac OS 7.x running on my Amiga back with an app called "ShapeShifter." It's name was later changed to "SheepShaver" for some odd reason.

The program Fusion(I think i was called that) was better in emulating MacOS. I tried it for a while just to see what wonders my girlfriend could do. We finally broke up after ~10years.
