So I was doing my usual night browsing and talking to a friend of mine when I snap a screenshot and it happens to have firefox in it.. one of the recent nightlies too ...
He points out something odd.. hey your toolbar is different! I see his and sure enough, his is different.. maybe my nightly is out of date..
Odd, firefox 0.9.3 is out. I didn't think my 0.9.1+ build was that old. I go grab the newest nightly, stick it in my apps folder, and to my confusion.. it's pretty much the same damn thing I had except with an august 25th date.
I go grab the 0.9.3 version and it's marked august 3rd.. but the icons are more apple-esque. I don't really see any other differences, what gives?

This kind of thing happens in nightlies. They have up-to-the-minute code and interface changes, including things which have not yet been put into a release or even a beta. It's the ultimate in convenience for people who suffer from LAGS (Latest-And-Greatest Syndrome). At the same time, stability can suffer.
Personally, though, I stil pine for the older button-style "icons" myself.

You are in Soviet Russia. It is dark. Grue is likely to be eaten by YOU!

I used to have the same opinion, but lately I've become accustomed to the new ones.. Atleast they're better than the aqua-styled ones we had a couple of weeks ago.

Things change in the nightlies! Shocking!
Actually I like the new Tiger-style bookmarks bar, and the icons themselves aren't bad. Hopefully older versions of Pinstripe will be available as a separately-installable theme at some point.
