John Zogby (Zogby Poll) was on the Daily Show last night. He says Kerry will win; the pres is stuck around 48% and undecideds tend to break for the challenger, a lot of them making up their minds at the last minute. Coming from a bigtime pollster, this is delicious news.
Walter Cronkite was on Larry King; says the election results will probably not be known 'til Spring. I love Walter, but methinks not.
Know why Bush/Cheney can't win? They're imploding under the weight of their lies. Can you imagine another 4 years of this administration, a good portion of it spent answering to or defending those lies? I can't.
And one final thought that ocurred to me during the debates, on the subject of the prez impressing his base with his "certainty about where he stands" etc.:
George W. Bush has shown that he doesn't need to know his ass from his elbow. All he needs to do is show absolute conviction that his ass is no different from his elbow and his minions fall in line.
I like that.
