I heard new topics can't be created in the Lounge due to database stuff. I find this distressing.

How were you able to create a new thread if you cannot create new threads in the Lounge?

It's karma.®

Yep I still can't start a thread, so how did you?

Here's the thread I've been trying to start since last night if anyone's really bored:

I have a friend who recently started to attend the University of North Carolina for grad school. My friend is looking to purchase a new computer (their first computer purchase). I of course would like to convince them to get an Apple, however I don't want to do so blindly if this isn't a good experience using a Mac on the UNC campus. I'm also a PC tech so I know each type of machine has it's place and purpose.

I'm just curious if anyone has went there or knows someone that has and could comment on this topic. Any and all input is greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

I think my pointless thread has been hijacked into something pointful.

Yeah, I had that "can't create new thread" problem for DAYS this week...

A tad frustrating not to be able to start a thread ABOUT that problem.

I did send them a CONTACT US note... but how does one ever know if they listen.

I wanted to know if it was ME, my IP,... whatever... since not Safari, not IE/Mac, not FireFox... could get the server to respond.

Well, at least they're getting server to notice it's munged up...
After hitting "post" for that last one, I got the "page failed to load"...
So I backup and hit "post" again... and it says I'm double-posting and redirects me here...
Now THAT is actually pretty cool.

Brits like David Blaine so much we throw paint at him, this is the normal greeting for people we like here, honest!

It'll be much easier if you just comply.
