Not sure if this has been posted yet, but Jaron Brass over at kissmybrass.net has posted 48 new desktop pictures built using the original art work for many familiar OS X icons (Mail, Dashboard, Xcode, etc.). 24 blue, 24 graphite. All beautiful! Check 'em out:

Hmm... that's odd. Works fine for me, and I just cleared cache + clicked it to be sure.

Could be functional pics when used with Virtue or similar multiple desktop thingies.

nice looking desktops... don't get to see the icons that big everyday.

but i waaaaaaant the original vector/raster files!!!

but check this out...
Licence is granted to use these images for personal enjoyment and other non-commercial purposes
he said he took these from Apple while he was working there... so he's not working for Apple now... he's using their images and original icon artwork... and he says "please respect my copyright"?!?
