Hi,
I bought a family pack for Tiger and had one license left, so I decided I would upgrade my B&W from OpenDarwin to Tiger. I have not been able to install yet. Here is the situation:
I boot up with the DVD, the disc formats correctly, and starts to install
about half way I get "There were errors installing the software please try again"
I open the Installer Log and see:
BomFatalError - cpio read error: bad file format
Install failed: Some files for Essentials may not have been written correctly.
Private/Total = (10.3MB, 36.3MB), Heap/Total = (3.5MB,18.4MB), Regions(malloc, private) = (49,28)
I have tried two different hard drives, and the same thing happened on both. Both hard drives are attached to a Tempo 133 card. I have never had any problems with the card and OpenDarwin or 10.2. I currently have the DVD hooked up to the ultra0 channel, should I switch this to the ide channel?
If anyone has any ideas please let me know, I've been pulling my hair out over this for a few days. Thanks.
