Amazon.com: Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 Compact Speakers for iPod and iPhone (Black): Electronics

Does anyone have these? I was wondering how loud they'd sound outside say at a pool or something? I really like the bose sound dock but don't want to spend $400.

They get pretty loud. Like nearly all iPod speakers (especially the Bose), they distort at louder volumes.

They're the lowest-end battery powered systems that I find . . . acceptable. Due in part to the fact that they hardly distort at all, unless you use the iPod's equalizer.

The Klipsch iGroove SXT are the same price, and a lot better - but not battery-powered.

Before you go for Bose, give the Harman-Kardon go + play a good listen. It completely wipes the floor with any iPod sound dock Bose builds, and that includes the SoundDock 10, which is more than twice the price.

And it's battery-powered if you need it to be.

The harman kardon looks cool, but $350 kinda pricey. I wish I could hear it locally before I throw down that kind of money.
