So, what's coming at WWDC this week?

We know iOS 6 is being discussed.
Multiple user accounts? PLEASE! This should have been included years ago, at least for the iPad.
In-house Apple 3D mapping?
Facebook integration. Zuck probably paid big bux for this.
Apple TV being opened up to 3rd party developers? If so, it's about time.
Siri on the iPad and older iPhones? Maybe, but they really need to clean up their server side. Siri on even just the iPhone 4S alone is problem-ridden.
iAd discussion? Meh.

Mountain Lion discussion of course.

Lots of new Macs, will be announced soon, but I dunno if at WWDC. They will get USB 3.0, but I'm not counting on retina. If the MacBook Pros get it then great, but I'm not optimistic. I'm sure new Mac Pros will come soon though... The death of the pro desktop line has been greatly exaggerated.

7" iPad mini? I'm not expecting that in 2012 either, but a sub 10" iPad will come eventually.

4" iPhone? Yes for 2012, but I dunno if they'll actually discuss it today. Maybe a hint to developing for different screen rezzes or pixel densities or something?

They'll announce a partnership with multiple car companies in which iOS will integrated into the dash... I really actually doubt this will happen today but it is a dream of mine to have an iCar. I mean think, once they improve Siri and have a better GPS it would only make sense and would be awesome!

Apple's partner arrangements haven't been particularly successful. The only one I can remember being a long term thing is Nike + iPod.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

There is so much smoke that there has to be some fire. MBP will launch with Ivy Bridge and nVidia GT 650M, AKA Kepler GK107M. MP will get Sandy Bridge-EP and some more GPUs available, at least - GTX680 and/or Radeon 7970, hopefully. iMac gets Ivy Bridge and the new batch of GPUs - integrated at the bottom, GT650M in the two middle models and GTX680M (AKA Kepler GK104M) at the top. Airs get Ivy Bridge and that's it, and that will probably feel like the biggest upgrade.

You're right but I like to dream...

On a more realistic level, they REALLY, REALLY need to improve Siri. It's more of a toy right now and their current commercials (especially the ones with John Malkovich) prove it.

Thanks Eug for posting all those links, they will come in handy today.

My parents' iMac died last week so for their sake I'm hoping for a refresh there.

User accounts for iOS 6 would be awesome.

This mornings rumours give me much increased hope for a new Mac Pro, though it looks like the leaked specs are wrong. This is good because they seem to think they'll all ship with 5700 cards, though that might actually make sense if a bunch of those leaked SKUs are for GPU upgrades. A great many users don't need decent graphics, servers certainly don't.

I do hope for a rack mount case design too. The other Mac upgrades will be welcome but not overly exciting to me, the MP is where its at.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....

Who do you guys think has the best live blog for events?

What I'm looking for is auto-refresh, tons of pictures and no stupid chat in between what's going on.

Dunno, but one I hadn't listed before because I didn't see before is MacNN's.

You are mistaken. It's actually fghgfh1.

Anyhoo, lots of fluff at the keynote right now. Blah, blah, teaching poor students, etc.

They've moved onto software. They are either doing something big and new with desktops, or they will just do a press release bump for them in the coming weeks.

Even though I have no plans for buying one, I'm really hoping they update the Mac Pro line.

A world without Pro Mac Towers is a scary place.

Yeah, I had been thinking that they'd only present some of the hardware - coolest pieces - instead of blowing the entire load at this talk. A quiet update later this month to the Pros, iMacs, and Mac minis would not be unexpected.

Facebook integration, as rumoured.

Siri coming to iPad, as expected.

Dedicated Siri Canadian English and French options, eh.

Apple has partnered with several car makers for iPhone Siri integration. Siri button right on steering wheel.

Nice thanks. I'm sure that will just be the start, with all the makes that currently support iPhone integration jumping on to the bandwagon.

Just new MacBooks.

The new MacBook Superpro or whatever looks cool, but is really more of a luxury model at this point. Kind of like the original MacBook Air.

iOS 6 looks nice and all, but what do I tell my parents who were planning on getting a new iMac? Get an MBP with an external display?

I really wanted to hear about the next iPhone as well.

But seriously, I agree, I think we can be pretty happy. The new Retina 15" MacBook Pro got my gear lust going. Perhaps I'm going to stick with 15" notebooks after all

I'm gonna wait for a 13" retina, but only when they become more mainstream and the costs come to more reasonable levels.

1. IIRC they've released updates at the end of WWDC quietly. So, it could be as early as next week.

2. As soon as the new ones are released, everything else goes on sale, including the refurbs, so there is very strong incentive to wait esp. since it's been over 13 months since the last update.

3. Personally I don't think it's a good idea to buy any brand new desktop in 2012 without USB 3 support, unless you can get an excellent deal on it. See #2.

4. What have they been doing for the last week?

Store's back. Pretty hilarious that the Mac Pro gets updated on WWDC but doesn't even get a single solitary mention during the keynote. But I guess there isn't much to crow about when the new Mac Pro is a generation behind with its AMD graphics (and still refers to it as ATI!).

The new Mac Pro update is about the worst thing they could have done. It's just a minor processor bump.

No Thunderbolt, no USB3, no new GPU, no new nothing...

Who is going to buy this?

I'm pretty pleased with the Thunderbolt to gigabit ethernet adaptor.

Good price too.

I'm wondering if the Mac Pro got updated the way it did (or really didn't) because they have a real update in the works and it wasn't ready. They have done bodged updates before (original G4 was a G3 with a drop in CPU). Would also explain why it wasn't mentioned.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
