Forum rules say you have to set a price.
I would say you could get about ~$1600 for the MBP. The 2.0 & 2.16 are the more desireable ones.
When did you buy the laptop?

Seems like you need the original brown shipping box with the four Styrofoam corners. I have some for a very reasonable price.

well,
i decided to open it, and as soon as i opened it i decided it was too heavy for me
and playing around with it, man, it's too fast, i don't need something this fast.
but yea, it's opened, i guess it's a good thing, i know 100% this thing is in absolute perfect condition.
No dead pixels
No scratches from factory installs
FAST as Hell
taking offers.
trying to sell locally on craigslist first, but at the right offer, might ship it out.
yea, you can get one referbished with apple, but they can't promise NO DEAD PIXELS or NO SCRATCHES
this is the 1.83 GHz model with 1 dimm 512mb ram

True Big-J. Apple has them in their Special Deals section for $1,549 which is where I always buy from and they are always like brand new.
If someone wants to but my BlackBook, I'd probably offer you $1,500 cheny!

True, apple has refurbished ones for $1549, which is actually $1626.45 after tax
Yea, they may seem perfect, but you never know
Obviously the refurbished ones were returned by the original buyer for a certain reason
They may have fixed the problem, but you never know
My girlfriend bought a 20” iMac refurb, and it’s on it’s 3rd mother board.
Willing to take the chance in buying a Macbook Pro you’ve never seen before? Get the one from apple for $1626.45
Want a perfect one with guarantied NO DEAD PIXELS, NO SCRATCHES due to factory fixing or original owner, buy it from me for only $150 more
Really up to you
I’m just trying to buy a regular macbook, as this one is too heavy for my traveling needs.
And with the extra cash, gonna buy a second one for my girlfriend.
Thanks for looking, give me a call if you have any questions: (240) 478-2339

And another thing to keep in mind, refurbished doesn’t mean apple replaced all of the internal hardware components, they only replaced the parts that cased the macbook pro to be returned.
The $1625 price you’re paying for the refurbished ones, you’re paying for a notebook where most of the internal components have been used for who knows how long.
Mine internal components have been used for less than a day!
That’s why you would pay more for mine.
I just want to give my view on why I think my price is more reasonable.
I mean $100 more for a piece of mind, know what you’re getting is truly brand new, not some returned defect that apple fixed, with other hardware parts that have been used for an unknown period of time.
Would you buy a brand new car with 15 miles on it for $25,000
Or would you buy a used car with a newly replaced sunroof, but motor with unknown miles on it, air conditioning on for unknown number of HOT days, transmission going over unknown number of bumps for $23,500
It’s your call
$1725 shipped or $1700 picked up

But, on the other hand, not all the machines sold by Apple through the refurbished/refreshed channel are in fact used units. As I mentioned, I have purchased quite a few of these machines over the years and they are indistinguishable from new. I can't verify this, but I was told by someone in a good position to know that in many cases, these are in fact new machines that did not meet packaging QC at the end of the process and had to be reopened after they had been sealed. During end of line QC, the boxes are weighed and if they are off by a certain amount, that means they could be simply be missing an accessory such as a mouse, CDs, etc. Once the seal on a new box is broken, it is then 'brown boxed' and sold as a 'Special Deal'. Plus, these machines have the full warranty and purchase security coming from a known, large reseller such as Apple. These are added values that no individual seller can offer.
You car purchase analogy is a bit of a stretch too. No one would buy a used car for nearly the same price as new with unknown miles and questionable background. Trust me on this one.. my family owned a large Mercedes Benz dealership for years until my father retired so I know that business very well also.
Essentially, you are asking more for a used machine than I can get a comparably new one from Apple. Please keep in mind that yours has been used if even for one day, so it is no longer 'brand new'. It is used and even though I am not doubting your word, for all I know it may have been used for six months as easily. At least one from Apple is Certified and has full warranty without a shadow of doubt. Plus, if I am dissatisfied, I can return it to Apple for warranty coverage and replacement much easier. For example, if I were to buy from you and it didn't meet 100% of my expectations, how would you handle the return? The same way as Apple? Think about this before you answer... I work with Apple clients all day, every day, and I am continually impressed with the very high level of customer satisfaction that Apple extends to buyers of new machines.

i just bought it two days ago from a seller that got it for free.
it was brand new sealed when he got it earlier this month, he did one of those things where if you sign up for enough trial programs, they send you a free macbook pro. I'm assuming the company incharge of this purchased this on April 26th 2006.

It's a good idea not to post your serial number. A not so friendly person could report it to Apple Support as stolen and that will end technical support.

Yes, you definitely want to keep your serial # secure. Based on this info though, the machine has already lost 120 days of warranty over an Apple refurb, or more than 1/3 of it's warranty is gone. That is a considerable loss of value even if it has only 'one day' of actual use. In the eyes of Apple, as well any subsequent owner, this baby has been in action for 120 days already.
$1,450?
