Ironically, his Ameritrash feels a bit more like 40K.

One of the newish flavors of RPG doesn’t let the GM roll dice. I get that, but I love rolling dice!

I have played some games where the setup takes longer than the actual game and I've fallen asleep reading the rules.

Did anyone play Shadowlord? That was our go to “fiddly bits” game back in the day, though it’s put to shame by current fiddly bits games.

Of course, real gamers play Diplomacy.
