What about this one?
Power Mac G5 DUAL 2GHz 512MB/160GB/SuperDrive/GigE/56K
EDIT: Nevermind...I see that there was only one type of Dual 2.0. Ooh....I think I might pull the trigger on this one.

At $2099 without the ability to CTO I'd just save $400 on a refurb.

Lower left hand corner. Look for the red tag.

Evan_11, thanks for the lead. I just bought this -- see my post, "How'd I do?" -- I'm totally psyched.
There was no shipping, no tax, and they said it may even be here by the end of the week.
Thanks again.

Thanks! Weird how they don't call it the refurbished store. Weird how they use a whole different icon. But thanks again, I've looked for it a couple times when it's been mentioned before.

No problemo.
I would of jumped on the deal as well but I'm holding out for a dual.

Even_11--
Thanks from me as well. I ordered a 1.6 ghz model from the Apple Store for Education last night for my nephew. Then I made my way over to the forums to see what you folks had to say about the machines so I could pass the information off to him (he's a recent switcher and I'm a Powerbook man). When I saw your post I immediately went to MacConnections and checked out the specs. Then I CALLED them just to be sure it wasn't a typo. It's not. In short--cancelled the Apple Store order, and he ordered direct from MacConnections.
Even with my Educator's discount, the MacConnections price is about $200.00 cheaper. Not to mention the 1.5 GB of RAM and printer.
Good stuff. People like you are why I read these forums and why I'm Mac.

Aaargh $1699 is a sweet deal with 1.5 GB RAM. Must resist.

I got my 1.8 for $1699 too. I was tired of waiting and even if the new ones do come out soon- the 1.8 dual wouldn'tt drop more than a few hundred dollars (Maybe $2199 at cheapest) I don't need a dual that bad, I'd rather take that extra money and get a better monitor, which is what I will do now.
