So last night, as my dog slept under my wife's desk, he must have gotten himself tangled in our TiBook's cord. There was a knock at the door, a woof, and a scramble, and then a crash. When I came into the office to see what the ruckus was about, there it was- sitting headless on the floor. My old TiBook (now my wifes)- still running, screen detached from the body.

I'm going to try the aluminum flashing/epoxy trick, to see if it gives my old friend another shot at being a notebook. If that fails.. I guess it is off to digital picture frame land.

Apple invented Magsafe about 5 years too late!! :/

my suggestion: buy a keyspan remote + the appropriate connectors for your tv+sound system and turn it into a media box for yourself. Thats what I did and its great (though mine didn't break I just wouldn't use it otherwise)

the TiBooks were my favorite, they were way ahead of their time, again with the exception of the magsafe, but man they were great...

You could attach an external screen to it and use it as a very slim desktop computer.
