GPU computing finally takes off in BOINC with GPUGRID, SETI@Home and Einstein@Home. Read today's NVIDIA press release 'NVIDIA CUDA Technology Dramatically Advances The Pace Of Scientific Research'.

Very interesting. To bad no Mac OS support yet. Only Windows and Linux. We can only hope such support will be coming.

Would also be nice if there was support for ATI graphics cards.

It is supposed to be faster than CPU, but I have read that it is not at fast as A. K. V8 on the Mac.

Billy, on Windows it is about the same at the 14/17 credit units, it is a lot faster though at the 55 + units. The longer units take 20 minutes where as they would take 1 hour on my Mac Pro. When the major bugs have been ironed out it should be a very good application. Will be even better when we can run it on Snow Leopard through Grand Central.
Mac Pro 2.8GHz x 8, 10GB, 320HDD etc.........
Saving for 32 core Mac Pro. Only £1376.93 to go.
