i have a pismo 400 w/ 192m of RAM running OS 9.0.4, using Final cut Pro 1.2.5. I have been using this and cleaner 5 to capture and compress movie from my canon elura for several mos. now. as of yesterday morning my pismo will not see the camera. i have not installed anything new for several weeks. The only direction i have been pushed is that my Firewire or DV enabler is missing. I assume this is an extension or some other OS item, but i cannot find it on my system discs. Any help? Thanks.

Try trashing your preferences: I find that every so often for no apparent reason my prefs will somehow get corrupted and change. Once you've got it sorted keep a copy of the uncorrupted prefs file handy for next time it happens.

Ensure you have Firewire Enabler, Firewire Support, and the QuickTime DV extension--I forget the name. Running the Quicktime Installer should make sure all QuickTime components are there.

I had the same problem at work and we found out that it's an issue with Cleaner 5 and Final Cut Pro. It's been a couple of weeks but I think we did the following to fix it.
1. Make sure FCP isn't located in your applications folder. Leave it at root level.
2. In your FCP preferences / general make sure you have "view external video using" turned to none.
I think that's all we did to fix it. Let me know if it works.
