I think Rose McGowan could pull it off if she spent some time muscling up. She's proven that she can do camp and looks close enough to the part.

Lucy Lawless? She's a little old, but that's who I immediately thought of.

I think Katherine McPhee is a dead ringer for Lynda Carter and definitely has the body to play WW. I didn't see The House Bunny so: can she actually act?
I think McGowen is a horrible choice. She used to be hot but now she's the poster child for Botox abuse.

This I could get behind. I have no idea who Rachel Bilson is, but I don't care...

Malin Ackerman has "superhero cred" so I'd be happy with her as WW. She's great as a brunette too.

Another chick with "superhero cred." Rebecca as WW would be good with me...
How do you say her last name?

Actually, plot is extremely important. But WW has to look like an amazon, not like a skinny pixie or runway model.

I just watch Law & Order SVU. An actress named Diora Baird performed the role of the victim, and she was fantastic. A great actress.
And, the only actress who remotely fills out the WW costume the way Lynda Carter did...

Yes, Emily Deschanel looked awesome as WW. Those legs!:
I also like Bridget Regan from Legend of the Seeker as WW:
More Bridget Regan:
Here's someone's impression of an updated costume, hints of Xena:
And DC has given WW an updated look:
I don't mind the change, as long as they keep the bodice. The belt looks much better, and anything that gets away from starred-panties is good. But I'd prefer they keep the red boots and bare arms/shoulders. Plus, the magic bracelets should always be silver while other metal should be gold. Different function, different colour.

If it's not as crappy as Catwoman, I'm sure it will be big.

Oh and thank you lpkmckenna for suggesting Diora Baird. I didn't know she did a Playboy shoot until after I did a Google image search of her.

Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman looks a lot like the new Wonder Woman. I wonder if his ideas influenced the new design.

There's talk now about a WW tv show, made by David E Kelley (Ally McBeal, Picket Fences, a bunch of laywer dramas...). I'm not sure I want a WW tv show instead of a film.
Anyways, Bridget Regan from Legend of the Seeker is looking like the ideal Diana.

The one who played the Mother Confessor? Yeah, that would be a good choice, especially for combat scenes.

She would need to put some muscle on, but I could see her in the role. Although WW is traditionally a brunette...

She has legs?
Rona what's-her-name deserves a shot at this. Or maybe she'll play the WW role in the spin-off video game title.

No, it doesn't. It gives them more underlying structure.
(I'm talking muscle like the zena/ww rendition above, not weightlifter crazy muscle)

I just don't see the appeal of A WW movie. It strikes me of the WNBA of superhero movies.
That said, casting the current flavor of the month Hendricks certainly provides the best chance for success.

I don't know... In cases like this, any attempt at increased fitness is an extraordinarily risky gamble. Too risky I believe.

Superhero movies are scraping the bottom of the barrel now, and DC is desperate to cash in while they can. Marvel has so many more superheros to choose from, but even they are down to the likes of Antman.

I really don't see it. Not so much because of her figure (although she should look more Firefly than Mad Men) but because of her voice. That just doesn't work for a superhero.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Boo!! Hiss!! Wonder Woman is the inspiration that made Xena, Alias, Dark Angel, Buffy, and other action heroines possible. She's the super-heroine par excellence. Show some respect!

She isn't very "amazonian," but she has many, many fans who would love to see her do this.

She's far more popular than Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Blade, and a lot of other second-tier heros who got their own films or tv shows.
Being more popular that Daredevil and Ghost Rider is like being the best ice hockey player in Eduador.
