Does anyone have one of these adapters that I can borrow? It would be for 5th gen iPod hard drives. They don't connect with pins, they have a goofy little ribbon that slides right into the hard drive. I want to check these two iPod hard drives I have here to see if they are good. I don't want to buy a whole adapter just for these two drives.

So I'm thinking you can mail it to me. Then I can mail it back. I don't need it for long. And I've got a MacNN post count and join date that are probably as good an eReputation as anything.

This seemed like more of a "Can I borrow your *ahem* equipment" thread than an "iPod" thread, but feel free to move.

$13 with shipping. USPS will be all of $3 to ship in a small padded envelope. For one time use, I'd rather save $10.

I've wasted much more than that on items I thought I'd use a lot and never did. If I had ZIF drives to look at, I would snap one of those up in a heartbeat...

Good luck finding anyone willing to ship one of those adapters in something less than a rigid box.
