I've been trying to get MacNN to watch Troll 2 for years, especially when someone claims they've seen the worst movie ever.

So they're going to be doing a screening of the documentary in San Francisco, the whole cast and crew will be there. It's gonna be awesome.

I just watched this and thoroughly enjoyed it, this is definitely the best worst movie I've ever seen.

My favorite part of this by far was the goofy grandpa that kept on appearing with his really goofy smile.

Watch this movie!

Stopping time just to piss in the food was pretty epic.

only people who havent seen this movie mention plan 9 as worst movie. I've seen it and it's not THAT bad. Loads of modern B movies surpass that

I think SIGNS with mel gibson is really bad, the higher score on IMDB only explains that there is a certain audience who can't judge quality from a turd

There are lots of "fun" bad movies. The most painfully bad movie I've seen (MST3K-ed) is The Wild World of Batwoman (yes, worse than Manos).

Hmm, well I didn't like that similar hyped movie about the 80's videogamers either, whats the name..it ends with a guy selling tabasco sauce. my little brother thought it would be great because of the trailer, but then it was a really long movie in which not much happened

I can't find the thread where Laminar suggests the Cheerleader Ninjas movie, but that was pretty bad too... However, there is something about those movies that suggest an awareness that they are bad, like they are just trying to be silly and lame in an unabashed way. Plus, Cheerleader was a comedy, so being over-the-top is not uncharted territory in this genre.

I think movies like Troll 2 are a little more worthy of props since the director was seemingly trying very hard to make the movie into a serious, non-comedy movie with a serious, coherent plot, but just failed miserably at it.

Have you guys looked through this list? Any movies out of here that you would recommend or want to add? Some of them look like a lot of fun

There are bad movies, badly made movies and bad stories that are made into movies of good quality.

Bad movies start out with bad stories and have people who don't give a rat's butt make and act in them. Badly made movies have OK to pretty good stories, but the "don't give a rat's butt" people make these stories into movies... The third category includes films like Ultraviolet-the story sucked, but it was done with plenty of money by people who knew their jobs and did them well. So overall it was not "high art" by any means, but it was a well made movie.

Signs was predictable in a lot of ways, but it was also pretty suspenseful. The story was, in fact, pretty lame but it was presented well. Not as well as Unbreakable, but pretty well. I'd put Signs in the middle category.

Any intentional B movie would almost by definition fall in the first "bad story made by bad movie people" category. I don't have any personal observations about these in the past decade or so because I just don't bother to watch them.

Tarzan is going to swing in and dismember the person who thought to have Tracy Lords play Deja Thoris... Soon, I hope.
