So i was thinking about the new mazda RX8, I might be interested. I haven't worked out how I'm going to get around during a new england blizzard, but besides that, I cam across this article. Interesting, but I flipped when I got the end, what a great way to sell me a car!!

"Call it the Mac OS X of engines." Didn't expect to read that at the end of the article.

Yay! No crashing! Unless you put it to sleep, that is. Or upgrade it's system software. But other than that, no crashing! That means rock-bottom insurance rates!

The 3rd generation RX-7 made 255horsepower from a 1.3 liter engine. Although to be fair, the way they count displacement for a Wankel engine is wrong, and Mazda's 13b and Renesis engines are actually 2.6 liters.

That said, hooray for Mazda, and hooray for rotary engines, but the 350Z is a better car in every aspect.

Not a fair comparison. Wankel engines use the "displacement" three times per cycle, so it's effectively a 3.9L engine.

Of course, it's still a lot lighter than your average 3.9L V8. Wankels are cool.

I agree with 100% of what you said. I'd take a 350Z over the RX8 any day of the freaking week. And having these MSN non car people morons reviewing something other than an SUV and calling it a 1.3 liter engine just pisses me off.

Yep. But what do you expect from cushy lexus SUV driving nimrods who work at MSN? ARGH. I read a review by a WOMAN about the new Mazda 6 SPORT edition. She complained that the ride was rougher. ACCKKK!! HELLO! ITS THE F*CKING SPORT VERSION!

i still think its funny that the horsepower was overrated. the rx-8 is a nice looking car and the handling is good but there are better cars out their for the money.

Sorry, I meant to say "sports car".

Though if you'd like a backseat, the G35 Sport Coupe would love to show you its stuff.
