Top 5 reasons you're wrong

1. Canals instead of streets. Beautiful.
2. Piazza San Marco and the basilica, one of the most beautiful in the world
3. Squid in it's ink, with a bottle of local pino grigio
4. Carnival. Awesome.
5. Walking around the various neighborhoods, getting lost.

Venice is a lot of things, but it's still Venice. Go in the off season or the winter and you'll appreciate it more. But regardless, it's beautiful.

I typically like really dry single malts with a strong peat flavor ("Islay malts"). Glenlivet is a bit sweet and mild for my taste. Just my opinion, though. Almost any single malt/single grain is better than a blended whiskey. Bleh.
