I'm starting to doubt this deal too... he claims he drugged her but they did an autopsy the day after she was found and didn't find any drugs or alcohol in her system.

I have a sneaking suspicion this guy was about to be picked up in Bangkok for something else and, realizing that could spell life in a Thailand prison, if not death, he would be better served getting himself extradited to the US ASAP, even if he had to lie.

On a side note, what a friggin pencil-neck.

I read that he was obsessed with violent murders of children and had begun investigating JonBenet's case a few years ago. His brother said he wanted to get inside of a killer's mind to learn more about him, and was writing a book about such. I wonder if he was so obsessed with getting inside the killer's mind he plead guilty to the crime.

Probably because we're so used to seeing gay pedophiles on TV (priests, jacko, peewee, etc). So people see a pedo and they automatically think "gay".

But to me this guy does not look gay at all. Broken spirited? Ya. Loser? Ya. Gay? Absolutely not.

I think the eyes, nose, mouth, and even the neck are spot on. But the chin is too thin and the head itself is a bit too wide around the cheekbones.

That is a very keen perception. It did strike me as strange that he would give a 'press conference' confession, but I attributed that to his general strangeness. But when I ran it through your explanation it made complete sense.

Although I think the MSM has said he exchanged some 200 emails with someone (a professor?) here in the USA and some of those emails contained info that wasn't released to the public.

He says he was in love with her, that he was with her when she died and that it was an accident is just too close to satisfying the authorities' known info about the case. If he was just trying to confess to escape Thai imprisonment they would have seen through that.

I believe he WANTS to get out of Thailand, thanks to your insights. But from what has been reported, I think it's more than just a desperate lie in the attempt to avoid a harsh Thai penal system.

Ya a few years back Paul Reubens aka Peewee was found with a bunch of "vintage" child erotica, and apparently stuff on his computer. He was going to be charged but it was dropped in exchange for him pleading guilty in his indecent exposure trial. You can do a google search and find out if you want.

And c'mon, everyone knows about MJ. Saying he didn't do it is like saying OJ didn't do it.

Celebrities do gross stuff and get away with it, what's new?

I doubt there are a lot of kids out there who, when given the choice (or not swayed in any direction), would choose 'dressing up as a ho' for a hobby (let alone a professional career).

So this guy surfaces and they have a chance to look good to the world-of course they jump on it.

If I had children, I would never allow my daughter to wear ANY type of makeup until they were at least 15. Even if she wanted to. It just sickens me when I see an 8 or 9 year old with makeup on.

I probably would, at least at first. It's a natural reaction, or so common that it might as well be one. But I do hope that I would come to my senses sooner rather than later, because natural though this reaction may be, it's still irrational and wrong.

This whole thing reeks of bogusness! For some reason I think this guy is lying. If he indeed studied the case as thoroughly as people say he did, then I think he could've come across these unreleased details of the crime. Maybe he talked to someone in the know, or maybe he just came to the conclusions based on everything he studied about the crime.

He also seems like he's enjoying all this attention a little too much.

The DA has yet to charge him with anything. If they were tracking this guy for months, then you'd think they'd have a solid enough case on him to charge him with something.

I have nothing solid to base this opinion on other than an odd feeling about the whole thing. I think this thing will take a strange turn in a few days or so.
