http://car-ramblings.blogspot.com/

I've always been a fan of cars. Even before I was old enough to drive, I was always wanting to see what was new in the auto world. I remember finding my older brother's Motor Trend magazines and thumbing through them and seeing all the cool, new cars. I got him to give me all his magazines after he was done with them. Later, I got my own subscriptions. I was always eager for the mail to come at the beginning of a month for the next editions of Car & Driver and Motor Trend.

Fast forward several years to today... Now, I no longer have any subscriptions. With the Internet, I'm able to keep track of everything daily. The magazines became pointless when I had already read or seen everything online weeks before I got the magazine in the mail. I still love seeing what's new and anxiously await auto show season, curious to see the new production models and concepts.

So, I thought I'd start my own blog to share my thoughts and opinions on what's new in the auto world. I'm no expert in autos, just an enthusiast that's willing to share his thoughts and listen to yours.

Now keep in mind, this is my first blog. I've never done anything like this before. So, it's just using a standard Blogger template and is pretty basic. Feel free to let me know what can be improved, what you like, what you don't like.

Be nicer without the google ads, since the blog and hosting is free anyway.

I can add that. I believe that was unveiled before I started my blog. So what's there now is what's been in the press since I started. But on slow days, I'll probably do some other things from the past.

Could the sides on that new Range Rover Sport be any more vertical and boring?

Cars are getting really ugly in my opinion. The only ones I find to be respectable looking these days are the BMW 3 and 5 series, as well as the Mercedes E class. And maybe a few Volvo models.

I hear ya. I want to lock all car designers in a large dungeon for 20 years, with their only human contact being a large bloke coming in and beating them senseless while shouting "leave it alone!" through a megaphone.

Feel free to make comments on the blog itself. Otherwise I'm going to feel like I'm just talking to myself.

Yeah, the Routan didn't make any sense to me. Not surprised by it's apparent failure.

The Kia Sedona crushed the Entourage in sales, so that one makes sense as well. It's the same van!

You need a Challenger in there some place.

Maybe a review of the A-Team van.

Basically it's just my commentary on topical news items. So, if it hasn't been in the news lately, I haven't posted about it. I'll try to add more non-topical posts in the future but that will have to wait a month or two. I'm about to begin a remodeling project at home which will suck up most of my free time for a while.

I disagree. Just because someone is not paying for the hosting doesn't mean they shouldn't also make money by advertising on their site.

Google ads don't bother me.
