Quick question here: I have a TiBook 867 which has a Radeon 9000 32MB. Would it be possible to drive a CRT at these resolutions?:

1920x1440@75Hz
2048x1536@75Hz

I'm thinking of buying an IBM P275, 21" FD Trinitron tube and it's dirt cheap (and it has DVI input). I'll be running it in clamshell mode so only this monitor to drive. My concerns are Expos and Quartz Extreme at these resolutions. At the moment I use my PBook in a dual monitor configuration with a 15" Apple LCD. If you add the monitors up you come to 2304x1622 pixels (1280x854+1024x768), so It could work. Unless my math or reasoning is off ?

Well the current ones are listed as having a maximum external resolution of 2048 x 1536, so I think that's your upper limit for your TiBook.

EDIT: I see. Your adding the LCD plus the external display. Nevermind.

Found it! Here's a link to the specification page from April 9, 2003.

please get back to school
1280x854 = 1093120
1025x768 = 786432

together 1879552 pixels to be rendered

2304x1622 = 3737088 pixels

just a small difference

actualle this has nothing to do with the maximum resolution you can use with your external monitor.
just expose is affected by the amount of pixels

Actually QE and Expos are my main points of concern.
