Instead of reposting the same thing over and over and over again in a public forum...try private messages.
Edit: Hmmm...maybe I should have sent this in a private message. Nah...let this be a public warning to all.

Just cause you are addicted, doesn't mean you are in charge. Know your role. Stop the hate.

How did this turn into a 'hate' conversation?
Methinks there's projection going on in here.
I'm really just trying to do my own moderation since there's no moderation going on in these forums by the actual mods. The MacNN servers are often overloaded after MW expos, the forum databases might still corrupt posts (?). So as you can see, the MacNN forums are in bad shape right now...don't use up bandwidth for things you can send via IM or PM.

Okay, so I've completed the work for the patch.
I haven't made it yet, because I want to edit the CICN resource. This controls the splash screen, and I want to to replace it with my own.
However, every time I try, it won't work in ResEdit (or Resorcerer 2.4 for OS X, or Super ResEdit) because "it is too badly damaged". I'd have tried ResKnife, but I can't find it.
So the question is, how do I edit CICN resources? I'll release my pathc once I can figure this crap out.
Also, where do I edit the application name that is displayed in the Dock when you mouse over it?

I can field that one - that's just the application name silly So just rename the application; no resources or such to bungle with.

Were it that easy, I'd have done it. The name won't stick, which is why I think it may be elsewhere.
Anyone know anything about editing CICNs?
