Are we ever going to get any ? We have had exactly 1 free song on the Belgian store (and it sucked, big time). Is it the same for the other European stores.

Maybe our record companies don't allow it but that would really suck.
Anybody know more about this ?

PS: Are the free songs always annouced on the main page or is it possible that they are hidden and that you actually have to find them ?

It's different in the German store. We never had a free song.

Free songs are a way to lure people into music genres they would never try out for themselves in the hope that customers with a wider range of interest in music spend more money on it. Or free songs are simply a lost business. I don't know, I have now clue about business. But I'm confident the high-paid management of the music industry is capable to make the right decision here.

AFAIK the UK store gets a free tune every week on a Tuesday? The link is usually somewhere on the homepage.

Usually some tune by an unknown Brit artist/group.

There is no such thing as free lunch or music. You are hurting yourself when music is free.
