Hi, My dad bought the OS 9.0.4 CD on 1.14.01 and I was wondering if I could get the OS 9.1 CD from Apple for Free? or do I have to pay the $20 upgrade? Thanks.

a quick iRebound:
experience would suggest yes. just because you buy a '67 mustang in '68, then change your mind, don't mean you get a '68 for free.
but software is slightly different i suppose: if the people who sold it to you knew 9.1 was already available and didn't tell you just so they could clear their stock, well ... they're not worth dealing with.
on a brighter note: 904 is a rock solid OS and from what i hear, you're not missing much anyway.
posthumanus over.

I guess that's a typo in the title. 11/14/2001 is still a long time from now.
Anyway, I'm sure you can reason out with Apple. Just be sure to have your proof-of-purchase ready. Write to them or ask the store where you bought it from about it.
