I got this similar problem (I'm not alone in this ... coz some of the CS3 users hv similar problem) on Leopard..
I have just installed Leopard on my MacBook Pro and I can't start Photoshop CS3 Extended since then. When I launch it I get the message "Could not initialize Photoshop because the file is locked. Use the 'Get info' command in the Finder to unlock the File".
When I do this the Locked box is empty. I have tried ticking the box, launching, then unticking it, it didn't work.

Anybody have resolved this?

Looks like there might be a fix by way of issuing some simple commands in single user mode. Have you tried?
This is precisely why I'm holding off on Leopard for a few weeks / months. Been burned with glitches like this in the past.
I hope you find a solution.

*Doh* I was going to install Leopard this weekend — change in plans. Please post the fix here or let us know when Adobe has an update that will take care of the situation. Thanks in advance.

I "think" the problem lies when the user didn;t realize that their account has changed from "Admin" to "Standard".... This is what happen to me recently.
I have posted my problem in this ---> Forum
I reinstalled CS3 today and it works perfectly!
Not sure about you guys.... But its worth a try....
