Is there a way to lock off/password an external HD so that if anyone else were to get a hold of it, they could not just plug in the drive and see everything. Something like the firmware protection for a computer on restart.
I thought about using a disk image and have it ask for a password, but this will not do.
I work for a college but tend to do a lot of runnign around for support. I carry my laptop and an external firewire HD that hold my lab images for desktops, laptops & also backup copies of some software.
The big software I generaly keep the copies on my laptop so they are protected, but would be nice to keep everything on one backup drive.
Any ideas ??
Thanks,
Carter
