Meh.. looks like a mix between the Mustang body before this past one, and a Chrysler.

Looks sorta like the new Challenger.

If they flattened out the front and blended the rear window pillar with the back fender a bit more it would pass for a late '60s Camaro/Firebird though.

The tires are wrong. They shouldn't be so large and shouldn't be low profile.

Upon further review, I take back what I said about the Challenger and the rear window pillar/fender bit.

Actually, other than the front end and the tires, it does look like a Camaro. Just a little lowered in the windows from the '60s models.

I like how much space there is on the older ones between the top of the hood to the wheel. The new one looks strange because the wheels are so massive. Bet it sucks up a good amount of gas

I think this is the model year the new car is based on, a '69. It has the same style grille, and vents ahead of the rear arches

I'm wondering what car they are going to dig up next. The Mustang, Charger, Challenger and now Camaro have been done, whats left from the old American metal???

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Not nearly as "metrosexual" as it could have been. I approve (although probably won't when I see the amount of silver-coloured stuff they've more than likely used on the dash).

GM just isn't "getting it", are they?
More stupid crap they produce, the further sales are going to slip.
The GTO. WTF were they thinking?

Ford got it right with the new Mustang.

The Challanger is almost a spot on winner too.

Next GM will produce another '77 Bonieville.

i was reading TOP gEAR MAgAZIne in a bar yesterday and i was bored by the abundancy of new highpower sportscars, they are all 500+ HP and all beautiful to look at. If you have 300k+ to spend it will be a tough choice

I like it. Too bad the production model will lose all those sharp angles and be a rounded off POS, just like every other Camaro built after 1980.

Not too bad. I had a feeling they were going to resurrect the Camero after the Mustang and Challenger. I'd take the Challenger, though.

the Mustang was never retired. Therefore it was never ressurected.

On a side note:The GTO nameplate should never have been put on the car they did. GM saw an easy way to possibly drum up sales from a product they already made in another country. Playing the nostalgia angle was by far the wrong way to go. Just 'cause it sell in one country doesn't mean it will sell in another.

Camaro dashboards were never really that bad. Firebird's had HORRID dashboards though. I couldn't stand the red/orange light and the graph paper background.

I will be going to the show as well. Staying at the Casino Windsor too, should be a good weekend!!! I can't wait to see some bad @ss cars!

I have only been to the Cleveland auto show. I head there are more cars here, like Ferarri's and Bently's and high end cars of that sort.

If they bring the Camaro back, and it looks like the concept, I'd seriously consider one when I'm ready for a new car in a couple of years. I like it.

With the way they killed it, over and over, in the 80's and 90's, the latest version might as well be a resurrection.

I don't know... the version before this last wasn't bad at all.

And the 5.0 in the late 80s and early 90s was great too.

Good. The challenger/cuda had similar proportions to the camaro/firebird, and in the original 'vanishing point' (star was a 70 challenger) they used a white 69 camaro to blow up instead, because you can only see it for a split second. I think it's a decent concept coming from GM. Surprised it looks as good as it does actually. That said, the challenger looks much better.

Roadrunner, Superbee, Superbird, GTX, Satellite, Dart, Demon, Duster, Imperial, Newport, New yorker, galaxy, torino, chevelle, etc etc etc. There's tons of cool old cars that haven't been redone yet.

Why do people always spell camaro with an E? Do people actually say 'cam-ero'?

Well, GM obviously has trouble with coming up with NEW designs, so they revamp and old design. They deserve a for continuing with this trend.

Be that as it may, this rendition is pretty nice. As soon as I saw it I thought "Camaro". This is FAR better than that ugly POS they call a Mustang.

Then again I NEVER got the fascination with the LOOK of Mustangs. Blech.

Anyway, I agree that if they ever get this thing in production it will be a watered-down ugly thing or it will have piss-poor performance…or both.
Being in debt and celebrating a lower deficit is like being on a diet and celebrating the fact you gained two pounds this week instead of five.
