According to a program I've been using called Temperature Monitor, I seem to be running somewhere between 59.8 and 60.2C.

However, I have installed a quieter fan, and did not check before the switch. If anyone else is monitoring their temp, lemme know what it is!

wow - way cooler. Of course, I have two processors cooking - and lately they have been working on the protein folding and working full throttle 24/7....

Now my average is definitely over 60 - probably about 60.3 - but it gets up to 60.8 or so when it is warmer in the room...

I could probably cool it down about 1 degree C by replacing the old papst fan that was in there, but silence is golden.

Dual 1.25 is currently running at 49C after 12 hours. Have installed a slot fan - there's a slight increase in noise but about 4C cooler than before the fan was installed

No idea what the temp is in my DP800 quicksilver, thanks Moto. I did add a PCI slot fan to help cool the 5 drives I shoved in it.

My Yikes! PCI Single Proc. G4 is overclocked from 400 to 450Mhz, it runs at around 38-40C cool, and 44-46C under full load. Added a PCI slot fan in that one too to help it cool down..

12" PowerBook, rev b, MPC7447, 1GHz. Closed lid, hooked up to external 21" CRT, no APX, no BT.

It goes from about 45C (113F) in light use to a max of about 60C (140F) under heavy use.

The fan goes on at 48C (118F) but at first it's rather quiet. At full power it's well audible, but it's not loud in the sense of loud as my former MDD PowerMac.

Under normal everyday work it's around 49C (120F). Charging the battery heats up additionally.

my Dual 1.8 G5 hovers around 19-20 degrees Celsius (unsure what the equivalent is in fahrenheit?) during basic tasks- but the temp ramps upto 39 degrees Celsius during heavy workloads.

so take the mid range, and my average processor temp is around 30 degrees Celsius.

Big pimpin' at 128.1 degrees F.

Temperature Monitor, no idea which CPU it's monitoring.

My 15" Powerbook gets into the 140+ degrees F with ease.

Burn this motha' down!

I have a mdd dual 867, added a pci slot fan (to cool the added-in radeon and help out the PSU) and replaced the aluminum heatsink with the copper one found in later models.

The machine's cpu temp rarely crawls over 115 degrees farenheit now, and the fans never step up to those scary levels like they used to (unless I am in OS 9).

ah, so my MDD dual 867 powermac is running the same temp as a powerbook - i don't feel so bad now. I do have a slot fan on the way, so we'll see what happens with that. I'll post some 'after' temps as soon as i get it installed. (currently it is averaging about 59.9 C)

Around 30 degrees Celsius on a G4 450 Cube with base-fan. But then again, after waking up the system, I get a reading of 16 degrees - with a room temperature of 24 degrees, or at least that's what I thought!

hmmm- I was expecting more from the slot fan. I'm down to 59.1 now, and have been running for about 45 minutes under heavy load (got the folding thing going on).

I put it right above the graphics card, can't imagine going higher would do any better, but I might try it later.

yeah i'm running a 1ghz 1.256GB RAM 12" powerbook G4 at about 50-53 degrees average. i just took the whole thing apart to replace my optical drive, so i dont know if there is any difference between before replacement or after since i wasnt monitoring it before hand.

The temperature gauge i am using is the system nano widget from apples dashboard site. so i dont know how accurate it is

In the 56-59 C range (dual 1.25) running F@H 24/7 and the 120mm fan replaced with a slow quite Nexus fan running at its max of 1500 rpm at all time.

Adding a harddisk cooling fan that will blow air into the CPU fins from the left will lower the CPU temperature by several degrees.

I have a Quad with 4.5 GB of RAM.

It's been on for 4 hours (No heavy crunching, just FinalCut capture)

All processors are running at about 98 F.
