I just got me a nice rip of Murphy's Beverly Hills Cop, the picture ist excellent, but I can't hear any sound in Quicktime 6.5.2. VLC plays the sound, but is too slow for the movie.
The film info says: 3ivx D4 4.0pr1 Decoder... MPEG Layer-3 Audio, 48 kHz

Do I need another 3ivx codec and where do I put it?

Regards
PB.

What film info does VLC give? It reports some things better than Quicktime I think. This page has lots of useful information:

Also this is a very old version of the software. It won't help with the audio, but you should go get the latest version.

This is a known issue. Just use Divx Doctor or play the movie with MPlayer.
