Sorry if this has been discussed before but the Search feature isn't working.
I have an iBook G3 and an iBook G4.
The battey in the iBook G3 is dying and am looking at replacing it.
Are all iBook G3 and G4 batteries compatible?
I'm curious as they seem to have different model numbers when looking on eBay.
I'm sure they can't be that different as the power brick for my G4 is 45w and the Yo-Yo for my G3 is also 45w.
I just wanted to check so that I don't break something or waste my money.
TIA
Sean

I think they are, they are exactly the same things. at my school some people use g4 batteries on their 3g iBooks. Ask your local Apple store to confirm though. Good Luck!

Thanks.
I don't have a local Apple Store so that's not going to be an option, but your information was all I needed, thanks.

The Apple Store in Cambridge, MA told me that they WERE compatible. They have to be matching screen sizes though; 12" G3 <-> 12" G4, 14" G3 <-> 14" G4
