The pic below isn't real - it's just something I got from a desktop background but what do you think? I think new imacs in old "skool" colours would be cool.

A matte black would look sooo classy on the imac .
For that matter, it'd look cool on the iBook too.

Nice . . . matte black would be supa-sweet.
Any word on using either fiber optics and/or LEDs to change the outer colour of the new imacs/emacs and eventually the tower?? just rumor?
at any rate, it'd be a great idea . . . could even be programmed to display pictures, different patterns, etc.
cheers,
brian

Not sue if the black one above is CGI but I am sure someone in Japan made a black iMac - a lot more trouble than it was worth by the looks of things - im sure a google search will turn up results

Here's a link to the Black iMac. I think it looks great. It would match my Artemide Tizio lamp perfectly. I would simply prefer a white Apple logo to a chrome-colored one on a black iMac.

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.

I like the white one.
Maybe different colors/patterns than those would look good, but ick, I never liked flower power. I like that LED idea.
