I've owned a pair of Koss TD-65s and they were preety cool. sounded great and were comfortable. This was about 10 years ago.

Ever since i got my first iPod i've been using Apple's ear-bud headphones exclusively. But now i want something a lot better.

Requirements:
-Good frequency response
-Not ear-bud or in-ear, but rather one that goes over my head
-comfortable
-not bulky(like the TD-65s)
-Stylish (metal, gunmetal, aluminium, black)

Any recommendations ?

Cheers

Nice comparison graph for dozens of models (and not just frequency response) here:

My older pair of Koss Pro 4AA work with my iPod nano. Sure they are a little heavy, but they have great bass.

I got Sennheisers (HD 280) after asking this forum what to get a few years ago. Overall the sound quality was great, but the warnings I got were also spot on. The head band began to crack after 2-3 years of use. I babied the headphones and never really traveled with them or used them outdoors so I was surprised.

I would still buy sennheisers again, but not the same model because of the cracking and because they don't fold small enough.

I love my Dr.Dre Beats headphones.

Also, most AKG headphones have really good sound.

Thanks for the help guys.

I settled on the Bose On-Ear headphones....been using them for a couple of weeks, and they are great. They seem semi-noise canceling which works out good for the price.

Cheers

I think he was talking about posting in a dead thread ;P

Edit: I don't want to hijack this thread too much, but if I was going to buy some headphones, should I get a set with a microphone (ie a headset), or should I buy a microphone separately?

I guess some occasional Skype, but mainly to block out the noise of background chatter from people and televisions.

I had a pair of B&O A8's that I used to absolutely love. My ears are kind of small and I have an impossible time with in-ears, but these weren't going anywhere. Other than off with a thief at the gym that is.

I haven't replaced them... yet.
