Im looking to get a Firewire External Hardrive for my ibook and other mac machines. What do you all recommend as a top quality Ext. Hardrive??

As far as storage, Im looking at about 80gigs to 200gigs to back up and store my projects in.
I travel alot so I'm also looking for something sleek and small and something with maybe a sync button to backup my days worth of projects.

what do ya say? any suggestions??
one day you are going to wake up and
live.

I have a Lacie d2 160 gb which, while a bit procey compared to putting one together yourself, is reliable and pretty decent looking.

You could get a 2.5" drive in 80 - 120 gigs and run it off the firewire bus; you wouldn't need an external power supply (I think you can do this with 2.5" USB drives too but I'm not sure). It would be acceptably fast.

Or get any size 3.5" drive but then you'd have another power wire to plug in.

I have both and prefer the 2.5". Very simple connection.
