In the past week, my macbook screen seems to be constantly showing the "symptoms" of screen flickering. I know others have had similar issues....what are some remedies, other than the obvious of taking in to a genius????

Reset PRAM. (hold down "P", "R", option and apple during start up, don't let go until you hear three start up chimes.)

My MacBook screen flickers as well.
I have reset the PRAM, and all of the other voodoo techniques.
I have had my MacBook into Apple repair, and they said they replaced the "inverter". It went away for a while and is starting up again. It starts happening very subtly, and after a few months it is pretty bad. Lowering and raising the brightness with F2 and F1 buttons helps for a little while, but than will slowly come back. It is worst when waking from sleep.

I noticed very subtle flicker sometimes in my MB. Its like when we see a computer screen in a video, where you see something coming down from top of the screen like a smooth water flow. Well I dont how to describe it, but to me it is something like that.
Is this what you guys are talking about, or there is really something annoying?

My original black Macbook is starting to do this, too. It comes and goes.

No, it's more like someone is pushing the brightness level buttons up and down very quickly.
