Well, I managed to get to the download and upped it to my server. You should be able to get decent speeds...

Anyway, the URL is:
http://www.scifience.net/ut2k3mac.dmg.bz2

If you want to help out with bandwidth costs, my PayPal is [email protected].

Awesome, dude! Thanks! What's with this bz2 stuff at the end of the file anyhow?

Edit: Ah, a "BZIP" file. Never heard of that one.

Well, bz2 is the way MacSoft compressed the file, so that is the way I upped it. At any rate, it opens with StuffIt Expander.

While it isn't an OC-12 line, it is faster than MacGameFiles usual 2kbps on a good (slow) day and negative kpbs on a busy day.

Negative kbps? Is that possible?

After two timed out DLs from various servers, now Im finally able to play the UT2003 demo.
Nice DL from your server, between 30 and 70KB/sec...

Okay, I think I need a little help here... I've downloaded the file about four times (trying different mirros each time, just in case), and have yet to actually try out the game - I feel like

In three out of four downloads, Stuffit just quits about 80% of the way through and says it doesn't recognize the file type... yet it does produce a dmg file. The dmg will mount, but if I click on it, the Finder crashes. On the other one of the four downloads, Stuffit made it through the process without quitting prematurely, but the dmg doesn't mount - it looks like it's going to, but after DiskCopy quits, there's no mounted disk!

Any ideas?

I had some problems too mounting the image and copying the files over. I couldn't drag the file to another folder, I had to do a copy and paste. Try restarting your Mac, that seemed to fix a few problems for me.

To those having trouble unstuffing the file, you may need the latest version of Stuffit Expander to properly handle such a large bz2 file. My version 7.0 would just quit after trying to start on the file.

Instead, open Terminal. Type "bunzip2" followed by a space. Now drag the bz2 file into the Terminal and let go. Click the Terminal window again to make it active, and press Return. It will take less than 5 minutes to unstuff the file.

By default, bunzip2 will remove the archive after unstuffing it. If you want the download archive kept, you should instead launch it with this command: "bunzip2 -k" followed by the space and drag-drop.

Big favor to ask here. I don't spose anyone who is mirroring it could segment the file up?
I need to download it onto 100mb zip disks on a windows computer. I would be eternally grateful to anyone to do this, there must be others who would appreciate it.

Cheers
